Very convenient pump bottle, and the salmon oil mixes easily with my pet's food. I appreciate the quality ingredients, clearly listed EPA and DHA content, and third-party testing. A great daily supplement for supporting healthy skin, coat, joints, and overall wellness. Highly recommended!
My dog loves this stuff. It seems to have a very real effect on his joint health. At 8 years old and 80lbs he getting a little stiffer but regular fish oils seems to help. I don’t see anything proprietary with this product but it’s certainly a good option and the bottle doesn’t leak, which is greatly appreciated
Nice product but there are other suppliments that are better in my opinion My dog and cat both love the taste of this formula, and i have noticed much happier skin as it starts to get cold and heat is being turned back on. The pump makes measuring out doses really easy, but unfortunately the bottle does not have the nutrients listed in mg/ml, or any such metric, and instead shows the caloric breakdown and daily value %. This can make mixing this suppliment with others a bit more tricky. Overall this is a really nice product for most dogs and cats, especially those who struggle with excessive shedding or dry skin.
Perfect for putting on their dog food, and it seems like both of my dogs didn't really notice it at all, so it's quite discreet. If anything, I think it might have just made them a little more interested in their food. My dogs coats are already quite shiny, so it's hard to notice a difference, but I can say that their shine hasn't gone away since using this, which is good to see. I've also taken them off the other omega 3 treats I was using and have only been giving them this, so I'm guessing this is helping maintain the shine of their coats just as much as the treats I had before. I'm also happy to see that it's a Health Canada notified Veterinary Health Product, as that's the kind of thing I look for when I want to feel confident about the quality and testing of a pet supplement.
I have two dogs and usually it takes a few days for their stomachs to adjust to oils or supplements but right off the bat there were no gastro issues at all. I say this first because I was so stunned. There is barely any smell but the dogs went crazy for it. A healthy coat is a good indication of overall health. We've been using it for a few weeks and both girls coats are shiny and soft. I love that it's made in Canada. The label is very detailed and even has caloric information which is important to me as one of my dogs is small and even a few extra calories each day can have a negative impact.
This is a really good dog supplement. It is very easy to use and comes with a pump attachment, allowing for an easy dosage based on the dogs weight. The recommended dose is indicated on the back of the box. It is very affordable and comes in a generous 236 mL bottle size. It is made with 100% real Alaskan salmon and the dogs seem to love the taste: very easy to add to their dinner. After continued use for a few weeks I have noticed that my dogs fur looks very shiny and healthy. No chemicals or harmful ingredients added.
My pets go crazy for the taste as soon as it's pumped over their food. It’s super easy to use, doesn't make a greasy mess, and delivers amazing results for their skin, coat, and overall vitality. Great ingredients, trusted quality, and a bottle that lasts. Definitely five stars!
This salmon oil is a great supplement to add up your pet’s diet. The Omega 3 in it is an excellent way for your pet to get a healthy coat, have joint and bone health, and a good immune system. Very little gets added to your pet’s food. There is a noticeable difference in the appearance and activity of your pet with regular use. It definitely improves on pet dander, hair quality and shine. This is especially helpful for older pets. Please follow the instructions or a vet’s approval before starting with your pet.
My good boy really likes this Dr. Jin's Wild Salmon Oil mixed into his dry food. It is a bit hard to determine how well it's doing for his joints, bones, etc, but it's certainly improving his coat - it looks healthier and shinier than it did. 📌 This requires refrigeration after opening. I really like that this is a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, and that this is formulated to support a healthy immune system, and enhanced with a natural antioxidant vitamin E It's an easy to use 8oz. pump bottle. How much you use depends on your dogs weight - they do recommend beginning with a half of the suggested amount. The bottle I received expires in May 2028.
It seems to work OK!
It is comparable to the other salmon oils I use. I don't see any negative change or anything positive beyond what I was using.
I would probably continue to get this if mine wasn't available!
Dr. Jin's Wild Salmon Oil has been a straightforward addition to our aging dog's meals. The oil mixes into food easily, and the salmon scent seems appealing rather than off-putting, so getting our Mini Golden Doodle to eat it hasn't been an issue. After using it for a few weeks, I noticed the coat looking a little shinier and the skin seeming less dry. It's also reassuring to have an extra source of omega-3s to support joint and overall health as she gets older. The bottle and pump have been easy to use, although it's worth taking a moment to wipe the nozzle after dispensing to keep things tidy. Results weren't immediate, but that's fairly typical for supplements like this. Overall, it feels like a good-quality salmon oil that delivers gradual benefits without making unrealistic promises. It doesn't stink and Lucie loves it so I would recommend this salmon oil supplement.
This wild salmon oil for dogs is great. I have not seen any noticeable changes since started to use but her coat is shiny and I believe it works. Added oils helps her cost and skin.
We have two miniature Schnauzers. As a breed Schnauzers tend to have skin problems. Over the years we have included one fish oil capsule each with their dinners (i.e. once per day). I like using this squirt bottle dispenser since it allows me to easily adjust the fish oil dose. As well, the dogs do not have to ingest the gelatin capsule. Another advantage of this bottled oil is that it makes it easy to check whether or not the oil is stale or has gone rancid. Of course, I did check the colour and odour of the oil. There was only a slight, natural odour of fish oil, and the colour looks fine.
This is a small bottle so it won't last long with larger dogs or in a multi-dog household, but it is good quality overall. The pump works well and allows me to easily add it to my dogs' food and they eat it up with no issues. The oil is slightly messy, but the pump helps a lot with that. The instructions say to use 4 pumps for a 31 to 50 lb dog. That amount is excessive for my medium-sized dogs and can actually make their skin and fur greasy, so I use a bit less. Overall, it does the job and helps keep their fur soft. It doesn't do much for itchiness overall or for shedding, but it's good for preventing dryness. My dogs' fur quality has noticeably improved since I started giving them fish oil regularly.
I've been adding this salmon oil to my dog's food, and it's been a great way to add extra omega-3s to their diet. The pump bottle makes it very easy to measure and use without making a mess, which is a big plus compared to other oil supplements. My dog loves the taste and eats their food with no hesitation. I like that it supports multiple areas of health, including skin, coat, joints, and overall wellness. The ingredients and third-party testing information also give me confidence in the quality of the product. I've noticed my dog's coat feels soft and healthy, and I appreciate having an easy daily supplement that supports their long-term health. The only downside is that the bottle is a little small for the price, especially if you have a larger dog that requires a higher daily amount. However, the quality and convenience make it a product I would purchase again.
The good- The wild Salmon oil arrived quickly and came well packaged. The oil comes in a 236ml bottle. The bottle has an easy to use pump top. The salmon oil delivers 1350mg of omega 3 fatty acids, 495mg EPA, 450mg DHA per 2 pumps. The oil helps support a healthy coat and skin. It helps with skin irritations and keeps your pets coat looking shiny. It is good for joint and bone health. It helps in lubrication of joints and lowers inflammation which is great for large dogs. It is good for the immunity system and great for maintaining overall good health. It is easily digestible. I put a few pumps on their kibble and they eat it without issue. It has a fishy smell which my dogs love. The not so good- So far, no complaints!
My dog took to this salmon oil immediately, which is always a great sign. I'm so happy she enjoys her food when it's added. I got it mainly because she has arthritis and was struggling to even jump on the couch, so I hoped it would help her joints - and it seems to have worked! She's moving around much more easily now and even going upstairs again. It's also helped with her dry skin and made her coat soft and shiny. The pump makes it simple to dispense the right amount without any mess, and the bottle should last quite a while. Luckily, it mixes well with both wet and dry food. It takes a bit of time to see results, but I'd definitely recommend it to other pet owners looking to boost their pet's overall health and coat condition.
Supporting Our Pets I decided to pick this up for our pets because I want to make sure they stay healthy and mobile as they get older. We have a really active dog who is out running with us almost every single day. He runs at least 6km, so I am looking for something to support his joints and keep him feeling good. I also have a 6-year-old outdoor cat, and since he is getting into that age where I want to be proactive, I am hoping this will help protect his joints as well. Feeding and Palatability One thing to keep in mind is that since this is a salmon oil, I think I will probably be using a larger portion of it for the cat. Most cats go crazy for that flavor, while my dog is pretty much not picky at all. It seems like a convenient way to get both of them their Omega-3s without having to deal with two different types of supplements or products. Early Impressions Since we just started giving this to them, I do not have any long-term results or specific feedback to share just yet. It is a bit of a wait and see situation for now, but it seems like a solid, straightforward way to keep our furry friends moving well.
I tried this on all four of my pets (2 cats and 2 dogs). The dogs loved it and ate it no problem but the cats really did not enjoy it. I had to toss the food, wash the bowls and start fresh. I think my one cat may have had an allergic reaction as well as his lip got slightly swollen and red. So my review is going to be based mostly on dogs. I have an older red heeler and a younger frenchie. My frenchie will eat anything but I wanted to make sure I was giving him good things to support his health and joint health. My red heeler is pickier and is getting older and joint pain is something we've been watching for. He has always had the worst coat and smell too so adding this was a no brainer for him. I feel like this has helped but honestly it is mostly a preventative treatment at this point so I don't have a good indication that it works other than they are both happy, healthy, and soft! The one thing I will say is that you will need to clean their bowls regularly when using this. I made the mistake of adding it when I was using our measuring scoop and the scoop got all oily and gross so I needed to wash it. Best to add it directly to treats or food and unless your dog licks the bowl clean you will probably want to clean it after. I didn't notice a gross smell or anything associated with it but I don't have the greatest sense of smell. Overall, it is an easy addition to our routine to help my pets with their overall health. Having an aging dog and a breed that is known to have joint and health issues, I feel good about adding this.
I got this to help with shedding and to add a little extra nutrition to our two rescue dogs’ diets. One of our dogs is a picky eater and often leaves her kibble unfinished.
As soon as I added this salmon oil, she caught a whiff of it and immediately finished her entire breakfast. For that alone, it’s been worth it.
It’s too early to comment on any improvements to her coat or shedding, but both dogs seem to love the taste, and it’s been an easy way to encourage them to eat.
Dr. Jin's Wild Salmon Oil has been a great addition to my pet's daily routine. It's easy to use - just a simple pump or mix into food. My dog enjoys the taste, which makes giving supplements much less of a struggle. After a few weeks of use, I noticed that there has been less dryness and shedding in their coat of fur. It also seems to support their overall energy and mobility, especially for my older dog, who moves a bit more comfortably now. The oil itself has a natural fish scent but isn't overpowering, and it blends well with both wet and dry food. I also appreciate that it supports multiple areas of health, including joints, bones, skin, and coat, making it a well-rounded supplement. This is a high-quality omega-3 supplement that's easy to administer and shows noticeable benefits over time. I'd definitely recommend it for pet owners looking to improve their dog or cat's overall health and coat condition.
Both of my dogs took to this salmon oil right away, which is always a good sign. They're usually pretty good at letting me know when they don't like the taste of something, but they happily eat their food when this is added. We've only been using it for about a week, so it's still too early to comment on noticeable improvements to their coats, skin, or joints. That said, adding omega-3s to their diet is something I feel good about, and it's a supplement that can only benefit their overall health over the long term. The pump makes it easy to dispense the right amount without making a mess, and the bottle seems like it will last a while. Even though I can't yet speak to the long-term results, the fact that my dogs enjoy the taste and willingly eat it makes this an easy supplement to keep in their daily routine.
Dr. Jin Pet Essentials is a Canadian pet wellness brand with a strong reputation for their meal toppers and supplements. I am new to this brand and I am glad that I have the opportunity to evaluate this product. The brand was founded in 2022 and is based in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I am super health conscious and I am a believer of using food supplement and food quality to maximize our animals' quality of life. Both our dog and cat are served human grade homemade food every meal, and salmon oil is added to it every time. We have seen first hand the positive effects of salmon oil and other food supplements such as pumpkin seed, mushrooms, etc. Positive attributes of this product: + Canadian brand + Valid NN number - if you are not familiar with NN numbers, you can think of it as the pet-equivalence of NPN in Canada. Bear in mind that not all pet supplements have valid NN. + Manufactured in China. Normally I do not let my animals ingest supplements or food made in China. However, I made an exception here because of the NN number, third-party testing and cGMP certification. + Third party tested + Manufactured in a cGMP facility + Convenient with a pump + Reasonable price point, though a bit high compared to similar made-in-Canada products, especially those offered in larger quantities. We have been using this for a few days now and we have observed no negative side effects on either the dog or the cat. My rating criteria: 5 stars = Product as described, well designed, well built, and met or exceeded expectations 4 stars = Product as described, has slight design or production flaws, but still a good product overall 3 stars = Product not fully as described, has flaws, and does not meet most expectations 2 stars = Deceptive description or product has major flaws, not recommended for usage 1 star = Product is dangerous, and it should be removed from Amazon.
